SEO Tools is a desktop client tool. All SEO analysis data (such as keywords, website URLs, analysis results, report content) is stored locally on your device by default. You are the sole controller of this data (as defined under GDPR).

If your use involves personal data (as defined under GDPR), you as the data controller must independently ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, China's PIPL, CSL, and other applicable regulations. We do not proactively upload your analysis data to our servers.

7. Data Retention

7.1 Retention Period

Feature Usage Logs: 365 days (configurable in configuration file, default 365 days)
Login Logs: 365 days (configurable in configuration file, default 365 days)
Activation Records: 365 days (configurable in configuration file, default 365 days)
Email Send Logs: 365 days (configurable in configuration file, default 365 days)
User Consent Records: Permanent (for PayPal dispute handling), not automatically deleted
Payment Records: 7 years (tax requirements), not automatically deleted
Important Record Archives: PayPal dispute-related records are archived separately and retained for 3 years

Automatic Deletion Mechanism

Scheduled Task: Automatic data cleanup tasks run daily at 2:00 AM

Cleanup Scope: Feature usage logs, login logs, email send logs, and activation records that exceed the retention period

Configurable: Retention period can be adjusted in the configuration file (default 365 days)

Secure Deletion: Uses secure deletion algorithms to ensure data cannot be recovered

Important Record Archives: PayPal dispute-related records are archived separately and retained for 3 years
